Rally O is obedience, with a twist! Rally is a fabulous sport to build a positive and fun handler/dog bond. Teams competing in this sport must quickly and accurately negotiate a course, moving from station to station, performing obedience exercises at each station along the way. Whether you choose to compete or not, your dog will enjoy the action and you will end up with a more responsive and attentive partner.
All students have access to a private facebook group where they can ask questions, share videos and celebrate one another’s progress.
Classes will include both Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) and Canadian Association of Rally Obedience (CARO) signs and rules.
Note that a crate is mandatory for all Rally O classes. Class is well suited to dogs who are friendly/neutral to dogs and people. It is NOT suited to reactive dogs.
Introduction to Rally O
This level will introduce participants to the basic rules of the sport and the Novice level signs for both CARO and the CKC.
Age: 6 months+
Vaccinations: DHPP + Rabies

Rally O II
This level follows the Introduction to Rally class. It enhances the obedience skills needed for the Novice level in both CKC and CARO and introduces handling and ring skills for competition. Priority for enrolment is given to current students.

Rally O – Novice/Advanced and CARO Working Stream
This level focuses on the core obedience, handling and ring skills needed for the Novice and Advanced levels as well as the CARO Working Stream. Priority for enrollment is given to current students.

Rally O – Excellent/Masters and CARO Working Stream
This level focuses on the core skills needed for the Excellent level for both CARO and CKC, Masters for CKC and Working Stream for CARO. Priority for enrollment is given to current students and those who have successfully completed the assessment with their Rally Instructor.
Course Format: 6 x 60-minute classes, weekly

Start Time: 7:30pm Pre-Requisites: Intro to Rally-O Note that a crate is mandatory for all Rally O classes. Dogs must be friendly/neutral to people and other dogs. Overview of how the CARO working classes function and an introduction to Exercises 1 to 5 of the CARO Working Rally stream. Drop on Recall, Retrieve on the Flat, Barrell Racing, Directed Jumping, Designated Retrieve. Participants: 8 working spots , 10 observer spots Prerequisites for working spot: DHPP and Rabies. Bordetella strongly recommended. Age: 6+ months of age, people and dog friendly / neutral Prerequisites for observers: None Format: 1 session, 3 hours in length Price: Working spot – $90+HST, Observer – $40+HST You will be required to bring a crate, and to crate your dog when it is not involved in an exercise.
