Maggie Bird

Maggie has spent most of her life in and around the dog world and has titled dogs of various breeds in confirmation.  A graduate of our Professional Dog Trainer’s program, she has been teaching at Best Friends since 2012 .

She and her family share their home with two rescued dogs, and one dog chosen for performance sports:   Zeus, a terrier mix;  Lady Adele, a Great Dane; and Tukk, a Dalmatian.   Maggie and Zeus are currently training in obedience and agility. Maggie and her sons also foster rescued dogs, providing them with a secure and loving environment and a solid foundation in basic obedience until they are adopted.

Maggie combines her professional management background with her years of dog training experience to provide classes that are both informative and fun. Her objective – to set up every dog and handler for success.
