Explore the fascinating world of K9 SAR!

This course is an introduction to K9 search and rescue. Dogs are taught to locate missing people as well as articles bearing human scent, using air scent techniques. Handlers will learn to read their dog’s body language as they search for, locate and follow the target odour.   This course also includes an introduction to human remains detection.

As this is an off-leash course, dogs must have a good recall and must be non-aggressive.  This course takes place outdoors in all weather, so be prepared to get wet and dirty!

Age:     4 months +

Vaccinations:   DHPP + Rabies

Pre-requisites:   Good recall, non-aggressive

Course Format:   5 x 60 minute classes, weekly
