Jancy Watkins

Jancy has worked with horses for 30+ years but the acquisition of a German Shepherd who only wanted to follow its nose led her to dog training, and more specifically the sport of tracking. Since 2013 she has immersed herself in the world of field and urban tracking, earning many titles along the way.  Jancy completed the Best Friends Professional Trainer program with high honours, has acquired a promising young shepherd named Nox, and hopes to certify Nox as a search and rescue dog in the coming months.

The art of tracking requires a  subtle partnership between dog and handler, that Jancy strives to cultivate with her students.   Best Friends is thrilled to have Jancy on our staff as tracking instructor.
