Search and Rescue: This course is an introduction to K9 search and rescue. Dogs are taught to locate missing people as well as articles bearing human scent, using air scent techniques. This course also includes an introduction to human remains detection. As this is an off-leash course, dogs must have a good recall and must be non-aggressive.
This course is run by the Ottawa Valley Search and Rescue Dog Association. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this course are put towards this organization's operating expenses.
